The Edinburgh Disfluency Group is an extended network of academics interested in speech production and perception, and especially in errors and infelicities in speech: spontaneous (e.g., when people say "uh" or "um"), induced (e.g., by tonguetwisters), and recurring (e.g., when people stutter). Our approach is primarily psycholinguistic.
Who can join?
The group is open to all interested researchers and students: Typical backgrounds would include psychology, linguistics, and speech therapy. If you want access to the wiki just drop us a line (see below); we also meet regularly to discuss journal articles and current work, so please drop in if you're in the Edinburgh area!
